What this site collects, and what we do with it.

Last updated September 29, 2026

The short version: join the early access list and we get your email address. We use it to tell you how AI Actually is coming along and when you can try it. We never sell it, share it, or use it for ads. Unsubscribe anytime, or ask us to delete it.

Who we are

AI Actually is a personal AI that Anthony Proctor is building in Denver, Colorado. This site is its home for now. Write to us at hello@heyaiactually.com.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you sign up. The signup form sends it to Kit, the email service we use. Kit also keeps the usual record of the signup, like when it happened.
  • Visit counts, with no cookies. We use GoatCounter to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records the page, the site that sent you, your browser type, screen size, and a rough location based on your internet address. GoatCounter says it doesn't store internet addresses and doesn't put cookies or anything else in your browser.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we get your message and your address, and we use them to reply.

That's it. There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no accounts on this site. The AI Actually app isn't built yet, so there's nothing there collecting anything. We'll update this page before it launches.

Why we collect it

Your email address is for early access news about AI Actually: progress updates, the chance to try it first, and pricing when it's decided. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Visit counts tell us which parts of the site are useful. We don't use either for anything else.

Who handles it

  • Kit (kit.com) stores the email list and sends the emails. Its own privacy policy covers how it handles your data.
  • GoatCounter (goatcounter.com) counts visits. Its privacy policy explains what it keeps.
  • GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub says it logs visitors' internet addresses for security, as most web hosts do. See the GitHub privacy statement.

We don't sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone else.

Confirming, unsubscribing, and deleting

  • You confirm first. After you sign up, Kit sends one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else arrives unless you click it.
  • Unsubscribe anytime. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list.
  • Ask us to delete it. Email hello@heyaiactually.com and we'll delete your address from Kit. You can also ask us what we have on you.

Children

The early access list is for adults 18 and over. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect email addresses from anyone under 13. If you think a child signed up, email us and we'll delete the address.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
